Promoters

The venture was the brainchild of the late Alhaji Tijani Dagazau, a successful and enlightened businessman with vast experience in the oil and construction business as well as the manufacturing of high quality carpets.

Alhaji Tijani Dagazau

Chairman, Dagazau International Limited, pioneered the marketing of Nigerian Crude oil in the early 1970s. By 1974, the operation had witnessed tremendous growth, leading to the establishment of offices in many capital cities around the world.

In executing the function of selling Nigeria Crude Oil, he collaborated with a number of respectable international oil companies such as Gelsenberg Mineralol GmbH, Shell Oil International, Marc Rich and Company, Rhein Oel GmbH and many others. Acting along with the aforementioned companies, Dagazau International Limited commenced in 1970 by lifting 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day, rising steadily to over 300,000 barrels per day by the late 1975, thus making the firm the single largest marketer of Nigerian crude oil at that time.

It was the effort of Dagazau International Limited that made it possible for Snap Progetti S.P.A to be introduced to the NNPC that culminated in the construction of Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company. A similar effort was made by Alhaji Dagazau that culminated in the construction of Kaduna Refinery in Nigeria.
